Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Ocooch Mountain Humane Society.
All volunteers will need to have a volunteer form on file with OMHS which will include personal contact information, emergency contact information, and release of responsibility which is signed by the volunteer.
All volunteers under the age of 18 will need to have a signed parental consent form on file as well as the aforementioned forms.
All volunteers 16 and under will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian while volunteering at the shelter or fundraising events.
All volunteers are asked to notify their volunteer coordinator within a reasonable time frame if they are unable to attend their scheduled volunteer time or their scheduled event.
All volunteers will be required to notify their volunteer coordinator if they are injured while volunteering.
No volunteers will be allowed in the isolation rooms, rooms with unvaccinated animals, newborn kitten rooms, or sick or injured animals unless they have specifically been assigned to these rooms.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule if at all possible to assure that shelter tasks and animal care are maintained.
